Tzu-Ching Chang (Taiwan, 1988)

In Chang's personal creative technique, she employs a unique approach of loading paint into paint bags, reminiscent of a pastry chef skillfully piping cream onto a cake. Utilizing the rhythmic movements of her hand, Chang guides the paint onto the canvas, embracing both control and unpredictability during the process. The resulting artwork showcases a juxtaposition of expected and unexpected elements, deliberately avoiding the use of textual explanations to limit the viewer's subjective perception of the imagery.

Using acrylic paint as her chosen medium, Chang likens the act of painting to writing poetry, creating an atmosphere through the rhythm of her strokes. For Chang, painting is a means to express profound love and emotions onto the canvas, allowing the artwork to become a reflective mirror of her inner self.

Kiki Lin (Taiwan, 1991)

Through textured and colorful layers of glue pigments in the orderly dot pattern, the dots in Lin paintings symbolize her life experience and the routine of everyone`s daily ritual. Lin`s signature combination of dots and gold foil paper portrays the unexplainable dynamics of relationship and energy in life.

"There is always an unexplainable dynamics between oneself and his/her family," explained Lin, which she wishes to convey in her work.

Danym Kwon (Korea, 1982)

Danny Kwon is a Korean-American artist with roots in the San Francisco Bay Area. Finding inspiration in everyday life, Kwon uses scenes around her to create images that embody warmth, comfort, and an optimistic perspective. As the artist passes through unforeseen hardships in life, she discovers gratitude and joy for her surroundings. To cherish and appreciate these moments in life even more, the artist wants to see them from a new perspective by staging them in still life, such as flower vases and piles of laundry, in a surreal manner. The artist invites viewers to find moments of happiness and rest inside everyday moments, as well as through her soft colors on the canvas.
